Goals

The Master in Physical Education and Sports is designed  to equip the learners with physical development and fitness,  psycho-motor development and affective development. Emphasis is placed in the interrelationship of physical, social and mental benefits of health.

The program seeks to develop persons committed to the pursuit of excellence in human movement who are to translate concepts and values into action.

Objectives

  • Develop the required developmental skills in playing and performance in sport events as part of the instructional process;
  • Provide student-professionals with appropriate knowledge on the use of dance sports and recreational activities;
  • Make fitness testing available not only to students but also to faculty and personnel;
  • Equip student-professionals with proper theoretical background and turn theories into practice; and
  • Provide student-professional the latest trends and approaches in sports psychology, sports sciences and exercises psychology essentially needed in coaching.
