AACCUP releases results of November 18-22 accreditation

Last November 18 to 22, 2013 accreditors from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) came to evaluate eight programs of the University. Programs in the Abucay Campus namely, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor Secondary Education major in Agriculture have undergone the second survey.

For the Main Campus programs, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering has undergone the preliminary survey. The Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering have both undergone the first survey, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering for the second survey.

A few weeks later, the AACCUP sent a letter containing the results of the accreditation.  The programs of Abucay Campus: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Agriculture were Level-II Re-accredited. For the Main Campus programs; the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering was given a Candidate status. The Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering were Level-I Re-accredited. The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering were Level-II Re-accredited.

All of the programs received high ratings and “very good” remarks from the accreditation team. AACCUP also gave suggestions which comprise steps and measures to be taken to prepare the program for the next survey. 

Bataan Peninsula State University continues to travel the path of becoming a world-class institution. The accreditation may serve as an inspiration for the academic community to continue the pursuit of excellence.
