BPSU GAD Team calls for logo design


The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the Gender and Development Focal Point System of the Bataan Peninsula State University. The logo will be used online, in print, on merchandise and other materials that will be produced by and used in any activities of the BPSU GFPS.

BPSU confers Kagitingan Awards to 10 TV shows

kagitinganThe first ever BPSU Kagitingan Awards for television was held at Plaza Mayor de Balanga, April 8, 2013 recognizing ten TV programs that depicted sense of “kagitingan” (valor) in their respective shows. The ten (10) TV programs awarded were Be Careful with my Heart , Eat Bulaga, i Witness, Kapuso mo, Jessica Soho, Matanglawin, Reel Time, Reporter’s Notebook, Wish ko lang, Showtime and TV Patrol. Representatives from the said programs received the awards during the ceremony. The program was initiated by the Office of the Arts and Cultural Affairs. University officials and Balanga City Mayor Joet Garcia also graced the occasion.

BPSU Produces New Architects

Twenty (20) out of thirty (30) students hurdled the Architecture Licensure Examination given by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) held on January 25 and 27, 2013. The new architects include:

BPSU Interfaith Chapel inaugurated; Main Campus honors VPAA Dr. Sanchez

bpsu-interfaith The Blessing and Inauguration of the BPSU Interfaith Chapel in the Main Campus was held, Jan. 18, 2013. It was spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Benedict Maria Cruz and participated in by the BPSU Family led by Dr. Delfin O. Magpantay, BPSU President. After the said event, a tribute to the outgoing Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) was held in front of the Graduate School Building. The tribute revealed surprises prepared for Dr. Sanchez, BPSU’s version of “Ate Vilma Santos,” as everyone used to tag her.

BPSU ties up with Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry; Dr. Magpantay signs MOU

BPSU and HUFI Top Officials during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, January 17, 2013. Armed with the aim of promoting educational and academic exchange between the Philippines and Vietnam, the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Jan. 17, 2013 at the Tanghal Likha Center, BPSU Main Campus. BPSU President Dr. Delfin O. Magpantay and HUFI Rector Dr. Dang Vu Ngoan represented the parties during the signing of MOU.

BPSU student-journalists reap awards in regional press con

rhepcs2012For the third time, The Guilds, the official student publication of Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU)-Main Campus, bagged the Overall Champion Award in the recently-concluded 12th Regional Higher Education Press Conference held at Crown Royale Hotel, City of Balanga, Bataan, Jan. 9-11, 2013. The Defender of Balanga Campus secured Sixth Place; The Polytechnician of Orani Campus hurdled Seventh Place, and Malasimbo, the student publication of Dinalupihan Campus landed on the Ninth Place in the Overall Ranking.
