IPR seminar-workshop for the College of Technology conducted

The University’s commitment towards intellectual property awareness was further manifested with conduct of another round of IPR Seminar-Workshop for Technology students and faculty of the College of Technology(CT) on November 20-21, 2017 at the Conference Room, 3rd floor, BPSU Admin Building. Speakers during the seminar workshop were Mrs. Arlene D. Ibañez, ITSO Manager, Mr. Eduardo S. Tinao, ITSO Technical Staff and RET Chairperson of the Main Campus and Ms. Andrea O. de Jesus, ITSO Technical Staff.

Participants of the seminar-workshop were students enrolled in research and faculty researchers who were working on their approved researches. Highlights of the two-day training focused on how BPSU was able to build IP awareness for the last five years as member of the ITSO network, overview of the IP system, patent information, patent drawing preparation, claim drafting and patent  application process.

The workshop had provided the participants opportunity to search prior art for their projects, draft claims and present their outputs for critiquing.
