Attendance to WIPO Enabling IP Environment (EIE) Workshop

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) conducted the Enabling IP Environment (EIE) workshop in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) with the assistance of Japan Patent Office (JPO) on March 27-31, 2017 at Max’s Restaurant, Scout Tuazon, Quezon City.  BPSU representatives to this workshop were Mrs. Arlene D, Iba┼łez, Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) Manager and Mr. Eduardo S. Tinao, Chairperson Research, Extension and Training (RET) and Technical Staff of BPSU ITSO.

IPR Awareness and Consultation-Workshop Conducted

The University’s commitment to protect faculty and students’ creative endeavour was manifested through another seminar-workshop entitled “Levelling Up Innovations with Intellectual Property Rights” held on February 1-3, 2017 at the University Library, CEA Accreditation Room for the consultation-workshop and the Bataan Christian Youth Foundation Inc. Library for the seminar-workshop. The speakers during the seminar-workshop were  Mr.  Eduardo S. Tinao, Chairperson, Research, Extension and Training(RET) of the Main Campus, Mrs. Cristina G. Rivera, Dean of the College of Information and Communication Technology (CICT), Mr. Aaron Paul C. Rivera, Instructor of CICT, all of which are members of the ITSO Technical Team and Engr. Emmanuel M. Mendoza, Field Manager, Intellectual Property Service Office, IPO Philippines.

BPSU ITSO Attends to Bulacan State University (BSU) IP Application

In view of the request of Bulacan State University (BSU) to BPSU Innovation and Technology Support Office to assist their faculty researchers in responding to the Formality Examination Report forwarded by IPO Philippines, BPSU responded to the request and visited their campus on January 31, 2017.  Assistance was given by Mr. Eduardo S. Tinao, former ITSO Manager and currently the Chairperson for Research, Extension and Training and ITSO Technical Staff to their faculty researchers.

Participation to USAID STRIDE Knowledge Transfer Technology Support Office (KTTO) Development Program

The United State Agency International Development through STRIDE program held the Knowledge Transfer Technology Support Office Capacity Building program last January 18-20, 2017 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City. The event was attended by 40 different State Universities and Colleges all over the Philippines.
