About the College
College of Information and Communications Technology
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and the Associate in Technical Graphics were launched on first semester of Academic Year 2005-2006 as new programs of Institute of Engineering and Architecture (IEA). The first curriculum (2005-2006) offering of IT courses was in accordance with CHED Memorandum Order No. 25, series of 2001 standard and policies for Information Technology Education. Mister Rolando Lazarte served as the head of the IEA and the ICT programs from 2005-2006. A year after, Engr. Rodrigo Munoz Jr. became the Dean of the IEA. On his term the revision of the curriculum was initiated in accordance with Memorandum Order No. 56 series of 2006 ITE standard and policies for Information Technology Education.
In 2007, BPSC was converted to BPSU. The College of Information and Communications Technology was created. In May of 2008, the Board of Regents designated Engr. Aida T. Solomon as OIC of the college. In July of 2009 the OIC was designated as Dean.
