Alumni Association conducted special meetings to finalize its CBL

Focusing on one single agenda, Hon. Gaudencio Ferrer, after being elected as the Alumni Regent in the BPSU Board of Regents, along with the presidents of the five campus alumni associations, spearheaded two special meetings to execute a final review of the proposed Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) for the alumni association, held last September 29 and October 6, 2012 at the Conference Room of the Tanghal Likha Building.

To be particular with, most of the provisions of the proposed CBL was unanimously approved by the officers, however, the concerns regarding the following were addressed and resolved: (1) The definition of who are and who shall be qualified as alumni. The resolution being all graduates, be it from high school or college, are considered to be qualified alumni and members of the association; (2) Discussion on how much shall be the membership fee for the alumni association members after the initial graduation payment for the alumni; (3) Benefits of alumni association members; (4) The processes on disbursement and liquidation of alumni funds; and (5) The creation of a federated alumni association officers. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Gregorio Rodis, Vice-Preseident for Research, Extension, and Auxiliary Services and Dr. Elizabeth Joson, Director of Extension Services were present in the event to grace the opening program last September 29, 2012.

Also, Dr. Rodis and Dr. Joson encouraged the officers to work out the creation of the CBL and be diligent in reviewing the contents of the proposed CBL.

After the meeting, the officers agreed to meet for the last time on a yet to be specified date for the final approval and affixation of their signatures in the proposed CBL for the alumni association. The proposed CBL was then submitted to the Board of Regents for approval before its implementation. (Report form OES)
